Located downtown Winthrop in back of the Farmers Exchange Building, Brix Wine Bar & Bottle Shop opened August 2017. Our cozy venue with riverside views offers wine service by the glass, bottle or tasting option. Tastings allow you to choose from 20+ wines listed on our frequently changing wine menu. For the non-wine drinker, we offer a small selection of beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
Brix Wine Bar - Tasting Room & Bottle Shop includes retail wine sales. If you prefer to pick up a bottle to go, we carry over 300 wines from Washington and around the World. We take great interest in knowing about the wines we stock and we're happy to help you with your selection. You'll find an array of wine accessories; corkscrews, Govino shatterproof glasses and gift bags in our retail area. After a day exploring the Methow Valley and Western themed town of Winthrop, stop in for a glass! We look forward to seeing you.

Miso-Making Workshop and Tasting at Brix Wine Bar & Bottle Shop
Join us for an interactive miso-making workshop led by fermentation enthusiast Gabe Garms, founder of Creative Koji LLC. Gabe’s journey began with a decade of teaching fermentation and foraging at Raven’s Roots Naturalist School. Gabe focuses on crafting artisanal misos that celebrate regional flavors and embrace sustainability.
During the workshop you will take a journey into the world of miso, covering the basics of how to make your own miso at home. Gabe will guide participants through the fermentation process and demonstrate the versatility of this ancient food. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample 6 unique misos featuring a variety of beans, roots and mushrooms. To enhance the experience, a selection of wines will be available at Brix Wine Bar.
Whether you’re a seasoned fermenter or just curious, this workshop promises to be both educational and delicious - discover how miso can elevate your culinary creations!
